    This started for me in 1980 and many visits with my wife Jane,to local churches for parish records, graveyards, libraries and County archives. Modern computer technology has now made genealogy very much easier, with research being carried out without leaving the home.
  • The Rippin Family
  • Mainly Farmers and Farmworkers originated from Garthorpe village near Melton Mowbray Leicestershire,and moved to other small villages of Burton Coggles Lincs, Sproxton Leics, Colsterworth,and Stamford Town Lincs. Finally to the village of Greetham in Rutland. Some families moved overseas to Ohio America and others were seeking gold in Ballarat Australia in 1852.



  • The Preston Family
  • Originally Bakers from Little Weldon and Bulwick villages in Northamptonshire, became Farmers at Greetham and Stretton in Rutland with land ownership near the Ram Jam Inn adjacent to the main A1 Trunk Road. Other family members emigrated to Ontario Canada and Maffra Australia.



  • The Panter Family

  • were Gardeners from the village of Rushton Northamptonshire,and spent several years at the reputedly Haunted Stocken Hall,Stretton Rutland.They left around the turn of the 20th Century to Hertfordshire but returned to Stretton to be buried in St Mary's Churchyard.









  • The Wormley Family
  • were originally Lords of the Manor from the village of Riccall near York in the county of Yorkshire. The Hall at Riccall was conveyed by Leonard Beckwith to Edward Wormley in 1654.It had fifty rooms before it was demolished 300 years later in 1951-2.Some family members later moved to the industrial towns of Loughborough and Leicester. FAMILY MOTTO, Firmis InFurmis = Strength & Weakness.

On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

    In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
